About The Event

West Clare Charity Cycle

This is a fully sanctioned Cycling Ireland event.

START TIME - 10am. START LOCATION - Kilkee Promenade, V15RD39.

On the 31st of August, join us at our starting point at 10.00am in Kilkee, Co. Clare. Suitable for all levels: riders have the choice of a 65km or 100km route along the Loop Head peninsula, raising money for local charities. Our 65k route is e-bike friendly.

Event Routes

This is a fully sanctioned Cycling Ireland event with two routes to choose from; 65km and 100km. The starting point for all both routes is the band stand on the promenade in Kilkee at 10.00am, V15RD39. Enjoy the comradery and energetic environment as you join hundreds of biking enthusiasts riding along the Wild Atlantic Way.

65km Route

Suitable for all levels, this route is E-Bike friendly and takes in beautiful views of the Wild Atlantic Way. Preview the route in Strava using the link below.

Our amazing local causes

Supporting Causes in Co. Clare

We are very proud of our community and we are delighted to be able to support local causes that do amazing work for the people of Clare. All funds raised will be donated to The Lighthouse Project and West Clare Bike Track development fund.

West Clare Bike Track fund

West Clare Cycling Club are raising funds to help promote cycling in Clare by developing an off road Gravel / XC track. It is envisaged that the track will provided a safe a secure location for youths and adults to enjoy the sport.

The Lighthouse Project

The Lighthouse Projects promotes positive mental health and wellbeing within the community of West Clare through a range of activities.

Volunteer

We need you! We are looking for volunteers to help run this event, as we welcome visitors from all over Ireland to our beautiful community.

The 3 main categories for volunteers are; road marshals, food stops & registration. A pre-event briefing takes place on the day of the cycle. Have fun while helping to raise funds for charities in Clare.
